About Balfour B.C.


Nestled in nicely beside the Kootenay Lake, Balfour(pronounced Bal-FER) is a bustling rural town hidden away inside a beautiful rural landscape. The Balfour area was originally settled by the wealthy Busk family, With wealthy English privateer Charles Busk being one of the biggest contributors to the rise of the town and overall growth of the area. the remains of his original estate (built in 1888) can still be seen located on the outskirts of town.
