Our design

Cooler is King

In essence, every Grower Direct store is built around its walk-in cooler.

This is the heart of the matter. Occasionally we'll get a complaint from someone who is especially sensitive to cold (though this being Canada, a few moments in our cooler is the least of their worries), but the majority of our customers appreciate the care we take to provide them with flowers that last longer.

And nothing has a more profound effect on the vase life of a cut flower than the temperatures it experiences enroute to the consumer.

Flowers by the bucket

Compare us to a typical retail florist and, on average, you'll find less value added in the flowers we sell. We are volume sellers rather than decorators, believing that our customers prefer to implement their own design ideas.

Look in our coolers and while you will see a few arrangements for the customer in a hurry, mainly what you will find is buckets and buckets of wonderful flowers.

Roses here, carnations there... armloads of tulips ...
Mums and glads and ... got the idea??

Because we spend very little time arranging your flowers, you don't have to pay so much for them.

Most people think that is a very good idea.
