| Our Grower Direct flower franchise, was established approximately 12 - 15
years ago at it's current location. We have owned the business since
December 2007, and as 3 sisters we run it as a family business. We are
Kerry Robinson, Pat Deinstadt and Linda Ziprick and we have a long
history in Nanaimo of working in a family business, as we all worked with our
parents, Ralph and Ladora Schwab, in the family meat business. (Flowers
smell much nicer!) Every Grower Direct store is built around its walk-in cooler and ours is no exception, customers are always welcome to go inside, to view the wonderful selection of flowers we have to offer. Many customers prefer to use their own creativity and we are often amazed at the beautiful creations they come up with. We also support local organizations and community events and often work with the local school with their fund raising efforts. You can feel even better when you buy flowers at Grower Direct in Nanaimo because you are making a socially-responsible and environmentally-conscious purchase. Our flowers are part of the FlorVerde program, which ensures our flowers are grown on farms where workers get a fair wage, medical support and good working conditions.
